Mark Green, President
Founder and president Mark Green is the author/editor of 19 books and a commentator, public interest lawyer, former New York City Public Advocate and Democratic nominee for Mayor of New York City in 2001. He is currently lecturing at New York University and appears weekly on a public affairs television program on NY1 with Ed Koch and Al D’Amato.
Lauren Strayer, Executive Director
Strayer came to NDP after internships at The Nation and in the offices of Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and U.S. Senator Carl Levin. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan in political science and economics.
Kevin McCarthy, Research Director
McCarthy joined the NDP staff following an internship at The Nation. He was also a researcher at the Institute for Public Accuracy and is a graduate of San Fransico State University with a degree in English Literature.
Zac Rose, Researcher
Rose, a recent graduate of Columbia University with a degree in English Literature, began working with NDP after an internship at the New York offices of People For the American Way.
