Glenn von Nostitz
Senior Fellow in Economic Policy

From 1994-2001, von Nostitz served as Deputy Public Advocate for Research and Investigations where he directed staff in preparing scores of public policy research papers, surveys and investigations.  Previously, as Assistant Commissioner for Advocacy at the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, he and his staff produced numerous groundbreaking studies that attracted national attention.  As Counsel to State Senator Franz Leichter during the 1980s his investigations ranged from the resurgence of garment sweatshops in New York City to the increasing regressivity of the State’s tax structure.  Mr. von Nostitz is a member of the New York State Bar and is currently the Senior Policy Advisor for the New York Trial Lawyers Association.
